Kenya is one of Africa's most popular tourist destinations. It borders a number of other African countries, notably Somalia, Ethiopia and Uganda, and its capital is Nairobi (which means "Cool Water" in the Maasai dialect).

I visited back in 2017 with some of my French friends, travelling to the north-west of the country to a town called Iten, which is near the Ugandan border. Iten is extremely well-known among distance athletes, as it is home to some of the world's best runners; its combination of altitude and favourable weather conditions, as well as a multitude of trails make it an ideal place to train.
