Kyrgyzstan is another central Asian country that was formerly a part of the Soviet Union, and was also located on the ancient trade route between China, Europe and the Middle East, known as the Silk Road.

The capital of Kyrgyzstan is Bishkek, and the country is also well-known for its breathtaking scenery, and as being a somewhat cheap place to visit in comparison to western prices.

Kyrgyzstan is also on my to-visit list for the next year or so, so be sure to keep on an eye on this page!
