Uzbekistan is a central Asian country whose capital city is Tashkent. It was formerly a part of the Soviet Union, and is largely unvisited by international tourists.
Nevertheless, Uzbekistan is a very interesting place, due to its place on the ancient trade route of the Silk Road, and is also well-known for its mosques and mausoleums.
It is somewhere that I plan to visit in the next year or so, so stay tuned to hear more about it!
